Fountain
Valley is a community of tree lined streets, peaceful residential
and recreational areas within a 9.8 square mile area. It is
located in the center of Orange County, 30 miles southeast
of Los Angeles, and 90 miles northwest of San Diego. Fountain
Valley is less than five miles from the beach which makes it
inviting to those who enjoy the afternoon ocean breezes.
This
friendly community has an abundance of parks that are host
to a variety of recreational activities. A well-planned, urban
community, Fountain Valley includes a balance of land use and
services. The city is developing property for commercial use
while still maintaining a pleasant community atmosphere. Approximately
seventy-five percent of the housing is single-family residential,
thirteen percent condominiums, and twelve percent is apartments.
Shopping centers and elementary schools are within walking
distance from each residential neighborhood. Parks and greenbelts
are strategically placed for convenience and outdoor living.

The
city’s diverse recreational facilities include 17 parks
with playgrounds; a bowling alley; a 55-acre city recreation
center with lighted tennis courts; basketball and volleyball
courts; softball field; gym facilities; and a senior center,
to name a few. In addition, Fountain Valley’s Mile Square
Regional Park has two 18-hole golf courses.

ideal destination in Southern California’s recreation-rich
environment, Fountain Valley is centrally located in Orange County with hotel and motel accommodation within the city limits.
Beautiful pacific ocean beaches, three major harbors, Disneyland,
Knott’s Berry Farm, Orange County Fairgrounds, Pacific
Amphitheater, Orange County Performing Arts Center, and the
Irvine Meadows Amphitheater are all just minutes away. If shopping
is your idea of entertainment, regional shopping centers are
also close by.
