Orange County United Way (OCUW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives and strengthening communities across Orange County. Through partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, government, and community leaders, OCUW addresses critical needs in education, financial stability, health, and housing.
A key service of OCUW is 2-1-1 Orange County (211OC), the region’s central connection center for health and human services. 211OC answers more than 500,000 requests each year, linking residents to over 1,100 nonprofit and public agencies that provide more than 3,000 programs. Whether through the 24/7 call center, text, or online platform (GetHelpOC.org), 211OC ensures residents can access the right help at the right time.
OCUW also leads major community initiatives, including programs to expand affordable housing, increase access to childcare, improve food security through the OC Hunger Alliance, and strengthen disaster preparedness and recovery efforts. By leveraging data, technology, and community partnerships, OCUW creates sustainable solutions that reduce barriers, promote equity, and build a thriving Orange County for all.
